The Enterprise
The Enterprise
About The Enterprise The Enterprise is a beautiful old Victorian pub that has had many of its original features lovingly restored by its new owner, who is passionate about the look and feel of the pub.
The pub has a wonderful warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter but is light and airy in the summer.
The beer garden has been re designed and replanted and now has a canopy and heating lights so that it may be used most of the year.

Restaurant review: Gordon Ramsay's Savoy Grill - Decanter
food ambience drinks menu
The opulent restaurant, a London icon since 1889, had been closed for three years as part of a £220-million renovation of the Savoy Hotel.
Two dishes feature lobster (thermidor and bisque), and another two smoked salmon; there are snails, foie gras, and caviar; Dover sole is offered grilled or meuniere; roasts are available from a trolley, carved at tableside.
Omelette Arnold Bennet, a combination of flaked smoked haddock and cheese in two rich sauces, was invented here in the 1920s, and endures (the current version is perfectly cooked, stylishly served in a small copper pan).
There are six cuts of well-aged steak on offer, as well as mutton, venison, pork, veal, and liver, accompanied by a choice of sauces.
Smoked bacon sauce adds a pleasant pungency to butter-poached and roasted partridge, and a ‘pie’ of chopped mutton, carrots, and turnips comes with a topping of mashed potato, all set in a pool of homemade Worcester sauce whose bite contrasts nicely with the light sweetness of the dish.

There are so many pubs in London with a classic façade at the ready to pique the interest of passersby but they don’t always match the beauty of the exterior with what’s going on inside them.
Furthermore, the presence of dark wood, mirrors covering every wall and low-slung chandeliers offers warmth that’s encouraged by the seemingly constant low lighting whether it is night or day.Restored to its former glory The Enterprise also has an updated beer garden that benefits from coverage and outdoor heaters to keep the cosy factor running into the garden.
By now you’ll appreciate that this is a classic London pub, so when it comes to food you can probably hazard a guess at what you’ll find on the menu.
Modernity and trends don’t appear on the radar of The Enterprise so for drinks its lager, ale, Guinness and wine all the way.
Despite the occasional quiz nights and weekend DJ’s, the décor is the real entertainment here and the homely local feel makes The Enterprise one of the most attractive old pubs in Holborn.

Enterprise | Bars and pubs in South Kensington, London
Divided equally between intimate restaurant and bar, the Enterprise gives the illusion of space by means of a floor-to-ceiling mirror at one end of the bar counter.
A bar menu lists the likes of salmon tartare bruschetta and grilled caesar chicken sandwich for less than a tenner.
The bar (upon which taps of Budvar and Peroni stand next to warrior figurines) can feel cramped on a busy night, making the restaurant seem like a better if more expensive environment in which to enjoy dishes such as beer-battered sole and mushy peas.
